Hans Flick led Barcelona to a hard-fought 4-0 win over Real Madrid at home in the last round of the Spanish League.
Barcelona leads the La Liga standings with 30 points, 6 points ahead of Real Madrid, who are in second place with 24 points.
Away from the pitch, the competition has already begun between the two biggest clubs in Spain, as Joan Laporta and Florentino Perez compete to sign two players who are at the top of their list of interests.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional,” the first of them is the German player Jonathan Tah, whose contract with Bayer Leverkusen expires in June, and it seems that he has decided not to renew.
Despite being a key element in Xabi Alonso’s plans, he seeks to start a new challenge and try his luck away from the German league, which led him to exclude Bayern Munich.
Tah is considered one of the best defenders on the continent, and at the Santiago Bernabéu, they want to strengthen this position, especially in light of the possible retirement of David Alaba due to a serious knee injury from which he has not yet recovered. Additionally, Jesús Vallejo is not considered part of the future plans.
However, the advantage seems to be in Barcelona’s favor. Flick’s presence as first-team coach could be a decisive factor in the German player’s decision to wear the Blaugrana shirt and reject Madrid’s offer.
The newspaper added that the same applies to Jarek Gasiorowski, who has attracted interest from both teams but seems more convinced by the idea of moving to Barcelona.
Gasiorowski is aware that Ancelotti does not trust young players, as evidenced by the few minutes he has given to Endrik and Arda Güler, which makes him prefer a move to the Camp Nou.
Tah and Gasiorowski have given the green light to Barcelona, and the duo are expected to be Barcelona’s first signings in the summer of 2025.
