German coach Hans Flick of Barcelona has advised the club’s management, led by Joan Laporta, to sell one of the first-team players during the upcoming winter transfer window.
Flick recently guided Barcelona to a decisive 4-0 victory over Real Madrid at the latter’s home ground in the latest round of La Liga.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Sport,” Barcelona has informed its player Ansu Fati and his agent Jorge Mendes that the decision regarding a potential transfer next January will ultimately be theirs.
The newspaper indicated that Barcelona would not reject a loan departure for Fati if a suitable offer arises, given the difficulty the player faces in securing playing time under Flick’s leadership, stemming from the coach’s lack of confidence in him, particularly after Fati’s declining performances in recent matches.
Additionally, the report stated that Hans Flick has urged Fati to seek an opportunity to leave in January, as his chances of participating with the team are currently minimal.
It is worth noting that Fati has made five appearances for Barcelona this season, totaling 132 minutes on the pitch, without scoring any goals.
