In recent hours, rumors have increased about the possibility of Xavi Hernandez moving to Manchester United. The pressure at Old Trafford has become intense following the dismissal of Dutch coach Erik ten Hag.

The United board of directors does not want to continue the series of failures this season, and among the options presented as alternatives to the Dutch coach, Xavi’s name has emerged as one of the favorite candidates.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional”, Xavi Hernandez is impressed by Manchester United’s sporting project, and according to close sources, he is excited about the idea of leading a club with such history and a passionate fan base.

In addition, reports indicate that Xavi has held initial talks with the United management, during which he discussed the possibility of signing two Barcelona players whom he considers essential to his project: Fermin Lopez and Andreas Christensen.

Both players were important during his coaching period at Barcelona, and Xavi believes that they could be a key part of his hypothetical project in the English Premier League. Fermín López, a young academy graduate who shone under Xavi at Barcelona, is one of the players the coach particularly favors.

Xavi has repeatedly shown his admiration for Fermín’s dedication and fighting spirit, even once declaring that he would “go to war with him,” emphasizing his character and winning mentality. Andreas Christensen, on the other hand, was also a key player during Xavi’s time at Barcelona, as the Danish defender, who moved from Chelsea, quickly established himself as an indispensable player in the Barcelona defense thanks to his defensive strength and ability to read the game.

However, things did not go as Xavi wanted, as German coach Hansi Flick refused to let go of the duo and closed the door permanently on their departure. The newspaper concluded that Flick’s refusal to release Fermín López and Andreas Christensen forced Xavi to reject the offer from the English club, prompting United to pursue the Portuguese coach Rubén Amorim.
