Barcelona is preparing to face Serbian Red Star tonight in the fourth round of this season’s Champions League.

According to information from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Frenkie de Jong sent a direct message to Hansi Flick before Barcelona’s crucial Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.
After several weeks on the sidelines due to injury, De Jong has returned to the team, but he has appeared as a substitute in the last few matches, with Marc Casado and the active Pedri filling in for him in midfield.
However, the Dutch midfielder is now ready to return to the starting lineup, expressing his desire to become a key figure in coach Flick’s plans.
According to the Spanish newspaper, De Jong has a great chance of starting against Red Star.
The newspaper emphasized that there will be few changes in principle that Flick is expected to make today.
This will be the first match in which the Dutchman starts, with the last time being in the Clasico at the Bernabéu in mid-April.
