Press reports have revealed the situation in which Florentino Pérez, the president of Real Madrid’s board of directors, will decide whether to dismiss the team’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti.

Doubts surrounding the Italian coach’s future have increased, especially after the heavy 4-0 loss in the Clasico against Barcelona, followed by a 3-1 defeat to Milan.
Journalist Rodra stated on the “Relevo” channel: “Real Madrid’s management does not rule out the dismissal of Carlo Ancelotti from coaching the first team if he loses in the upcoming matches and continues his poor performance.”

The journalist explained that the option of firing Ancelotti in the middle of the season had not been on the table before, but now it has become a strong possibility, given the team’s recent performances, successive losses, and the difficult situation in both La Liga and the Champions League.

According to several press sources, Zinedine Zidane is considered one of the top candidates for the job if Florentino Pérez decides to part ways with Ancelotti during the season. The French coach, who has not managed a team for nearly three years (though he has remained close to Real Madrid), could be the club president’s trump card if the team’s results continue to decline.

The strong relationship between Pérez and Zidane is a decisive factor in this context, despite the complications surrounding Zidane’s departure after his last spell as manager. That period also saw some criticism from certain members of the club.

Despite these challenges, Zidane remains a beloved figure in the hearts of Real Madrid fans, who still miss him greatly. However, the club’s management continues to closely monitor the situation of Xabi Alonso, who is seen as a potential target for the club, though it seems unlikely he will leave Bayer Leverkusen before next summer.

During Real Madrid’s recent match against Milan at the Santiago Bernabéu, the fans did not hesitate to express their love for Zidane, chanting moving slogans like “Zizou, Zidane, my role model,” as he left the pitch.
Ancelotti will coach his next match against Osasuna on Saturday in the 13th round of the Spanish League.
