According to information reported by the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional”, Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, has made a clear decision regarding Ansu Fati’s future with the team: the Spanish striker is not part of the club’s plans for the upcoming period, and the priority is to find a way out for him during the next transfer window.
For his part, Hansi Flick explained that Ansu Fati does not have an important role in the team’s plans. With Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, and Lamine Yamal confirmed as undisputed key players in attack, the opportunities available to Fati remain very limited.
The newspaper added that when Fati had some opportunities in matches, he failed to convince the technical staff or the fans that he deserved a more significant place in the squad.
In Deco’s view, Fati’s departure would benefit both parties: the club and the player. Financially, Barcelona would get rid of a large salary, and the proceeds from selling the player could be used to stabilize the club financially or fund other deals. For Fati, a move to another team would offer an opportunity to regain his form and play regularly, giving him a better chance to develop his career.
However, so far, Barcelona has not received any offers that match the club’s valuation of the player. It does not seem that any clubs are willing to pay the required amount or bear Fati’s high salary, which further complicates the situation.
