Press reports have revealed that Real Madrid have reached a near-final agreement with Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies.
According to “Marca”, Real Madrid and Davies have reached an agreement regarding his transfer to the Santiago Bernabéu after his contract with the Bavarian giants expires.
The young Canadian player is currently under contract with Bayern Munich, which runs until the summer transfer window of 2025.
The report further indicates that Davies will officially sign for Real Madrid on January 2, after entering the grace period that allows him to sign with another club before completing the transfer.
Several clubs have been linked with interest in signing Davies for free next summer, including Barcelona, at the request of coach Hansi Flick. Manchester United has also shown interest.
Reliable journalist Félix Díaz reported that both Barcelona and Manchester United have made efforts in recent weeks to sign Davies, but the player’s only preference has been a move to Real Madrid.
Davies has played 14 matches this season, 12 of them as a starter, and has contributed two assists—one in the Bundesliga and the other in the DFB-Pokal under the guidance of Belgian coach Vincent Kompany.
