Real Madrid players are already with their national teams, but the club’s hierarchy is keeping a close eye on Antonio Rüdiger, in particular: he has been entrusted with a key “mission” as the team continues its renewal process.

Since 2018, Real Madrid has been in the midst of a team overhaul, but this process has been significantly hindered by injuries and shifting priorities within the club. At present, executives, led by Florentino Pérez, are focusing on strengthening the defense, both in the full-back positions and at center-back.

It is no surprise that Antonio Rüdiger is currently the only natural center-back available under Carlo Ancelotti. While Raúl Asensio has contributed in some defensive roles, the club is also looking forward to the return of Aurélien Tchouaméni, who is recovering from injury. Despite the suspension of domestic competitions during the international break, Rüdiger is shouldering a special responsibility.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central”, Real Madrid has expressed interest in securing the services of two Bundesliga players, Jonathan Tah and Florian Wirtz. To this end, the club has asked Rüdiger to help promote the advantages of joining the Whites and highlight the strength of the move to the prestigious Spanish club.

Rüdiger’s task is not an easy one, as he must convince his fellow players to move to Real Madrid, despite the alluring offers that could come from other clubs with substantial financial resources.
Despite this special mission, Real Madrid continues to work on strengthening its squad with top-tier players. While Tah and Wirtz are currently considered the leading options, the club has “back-up plans” in place should the moves for the desired players fail.

The negative experience with the “Euro affair” has left a significant mark on the Valdebebas offices, prompting the club’s officials to take all necessary precautions.
