Barcelona will meet their rivals Brest tomorrow, Tuesday, in a match that will bring the two teams together at Montjuïc Stadium.
Barcelona seeks to continue achieving victories in the Champions League after winning the last three rounds against Young Boys, Bayern Munich, and Red Star.
Barcelona is ranked sixth in the Champions League standings with 9 points, 3 points behind the English team Liverpool, the leader of the standings.
According to information received from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Alejandro Balde, Barcelona’s left-back, was able to participate in the team’s match against Celta Vigo despite feeling some discomfort.
However, coach Hans Flick preferred not to risk involving him to avoid aggravating the injury and decided to test him before the Brest match. However, he was not fit enough, so the German coach is considering excluding him from tomorrow’s match.
With Barcelona’s match against Brest approaching in the Champions League, Balde’s status remains unclear. His health condition will be carefully assessed in the coming hours before a final decision is made regarding his participation in the match.
On the other hand, Lamine Yamal will miss the match against Brest due to not having fully recovered from an ankle injury. The player missed Barcelona’s last two matches in La Liga, during which the Catalan team did not taste victory.
