A French press report has revealed a new reason for Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé’s struggles since his move to the Spanish giants last summer.
The newspaper “L’Equipe” quoted a coach working closely with Mbappé, who explained that the reason for the French star’s difficulties is his ongoing integration with his new teammates. The coach added that achieving harmony in Real Madrid’s ranks will not be easy for technical reasons.
The newspaper reported that Real Madrid lacks a clear strategy, and that Mbappé needs a player who can provide him with opportunities and service on the field, just as Neymar and Marco Verratti did at PSG, or Antoine Griezmann does for the French national team.
“L’Equipe” pointed out that the only player in Real Madrid’s squad who excels at this is Toni Kroos, but the club has yet to find a suitable replacement for him.
The report concluded with a quote from the coach, saying that Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga are not strong enough passers or playmakers, and that Jude Bellingham, while impressive in many areas, is not fully convincing when it comes to building attacks. The coach emphasized that Bellingham is not close to Neymar in this aspect.
The newspaper urged Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez to sign a player with qualities similar to those of Toni Kroos if he wants Mbappé to regain his top form with the club and overcome this challenging period.
