Spanish club Sevilla extends its hand to save Barcelona’s outcast in the upcoming winter transfer window, with the intention of strengthening its attack for the second half of the current season.
The Barcelona star is struggling with a lack of participation under the leadership of Hansi Flick, who has not included the player in his plans this season, effectively pushing him towards a move to another team for more opportunities.
According to information from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, the Andalusian club has set its sights on Ansu Fati, who is finding it difficult to prove himself in Hansi Flick’s squad this season. Sevilla sees him as a more viable option than signing former Barcelona star Ferran Jutgla, who has been impressing with Belgian club Brugge, causing his market value to rise.
Sevilla has already made contact with the player and his representatives with the aim of reaching an agreement to bring him to Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. However, there are some obstacles standing in the way of the deal.
The Catalan newspaper revealed on Sunday morning that the player’s high salary is hindering the completion of the deal, in addition to Fati’s frequent injuries. He is currently sidelined due to a muscle injury, with expectations that he will return to action in the middle of this month.
