Many injuries that have recently plagued the royal team have forced club officials to search for urgent reinforcements in the upcoming winter transfer window.
One of the key positions Real Madrid is looking to strengthen is the right-back spot, which has been a concern following Dani Carvajal’s extended injury.
According to information from the Spanish network “Relevo”, Real Madrid’s management has identified Portuguese Diogo Dalot, the right-back for Manchester United, as a potential target to reinforce this position during the winter transfer window.
Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is also one of the most prominent candidates to join Real Madrid in the summer, especially since his current contract with the Reds will expire in the summer, allowing the Merengues to sign him for free.
The network added that Alexander-Arnold is Real Madrid’s first choice, but the club has also inquired about Diogo Dalot’s price. Ancelotti believes the Portuguese player would be an ideal fit for Real Madrid due to his balance between defensive and offensive qualities, unlike Alexander-Arnold, who is known for his strong attacking ability but has significant defensive weaknesses.
It seems that negotiations for Dalot will be complicated, as Manchester United has demanded €50 million for his release.
