Although he has been unable to play this season due to a serious injury that required surgery, keeping him off the field for an extended period, there is hope for his return soon. Araujo has already entered the final stage of his rehabilitation and is expected to make his appearance in matches before the end of the year. The problem is that, at the moment, it seems unlikely he will be a regular in Barcelona’s starting lineup given the excellent form of Pau Coparci and Iñigo Martínez.
The Uruguayan defender is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the world, but the role he will play in Hansi’s system remains unclear.
