The newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” revealed that there is a peculiar clause in Dani Olmo’s contract with Barcelona that allows him to leave the club for free during the winter transfer window.
Barcelona signed Dani Olmo during the summer transfer market from Leipzig after his remarkable performances with the Spanish national team in the European Nations Cup.
Barcelona temporarily registered Dani Olmo’s contract until January due to the club’s salary cap crisis, which prevented them from registering his contract permanently.
The club is currently working hard to ensure Dani Olmo’s contract is fully registered in January by activating a new financial lever to resolve the player’s situation.
However, the newspaper indicated that there is a peculiar clause in Olmo’s contract that allows him to leave for free if the club fails to register him during any of the transfer windows for the duration of his contract.
The newspaper added that although this clause exists, Olmo is not considering activating it, as he wants to continue with Barça.
