Leganes achieved a historic 1-0 victory over Barcelona in the Spanish League.

Barcelona currently sits at the top of the Spanish League standings with 38 points, while Leganes is in 15th place with 18 points.
The upcoming match for Barcelona in the Spanish League will be against Atletico Madrid next Saturday at the Luis Companys Stadium, a crucial game in the battle for the top spot.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional,” the German coach is extremely upset and frustrated with the team following the unexpected loss to the modest Leganes.
The report added that Flick directed his anger specifically at Barcelona’s attacking duo, Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo, holding them fully responsible for the team’s defeat.

The newspaper also mentioned that Flick scolded the pair for missing several opportunities that could have secured the win for Barcelona. As a result, Flick made the surprising decision to exclude both players from the upcoming matches’ lineup.
In response, Barcelona president Joan Laporta went straight to the team’s locker room after the match and spoke with the German coach in an emotional and angry tone, holding him accountable for the loss to Leganes due to his poor decisions.

Laporta expressed his frustration with Flick, particularly regarding his delay in substituting Lewandowski, despite the Polish player’s subpar performance. Laporta warned Flick that the team is heading toward disaster in a manner reminiscent of Xavi’s tenure.
The newspaper further reported that Laporta requested Lewandowski’s exclusion from the starting lineup, suggesting that Pau Victor be given the chance to play in his place moving forward.

The report concluded with Laporta reprimanding Lewandowski for letting down his teammates and missing numerous easy chances, which ultimately contributed to Barcelona’s defeat and possibly jeopardized their La Liga title hopes as well.
