Press reports revealed this morning a potential swap deal between Real Madrid and Liverpool in the upcoming winter transfer window.
With the winter transfer market about to open, clubs are preparing to strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the current 2024/2025 season.
Real Madrid is looking to bolster its squad, particularly after several injuries to key defenders, including Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao, who are both suffering from cruciate ligament injuries.
According to reliable German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Real Madrid is interested in including Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch of Liverpool in a swap deal involving French star Aurelien Tchouameni.
Plettenberg stated on his official X account, “Ryan Gravenberch is not currently thinking about leaving Liverpool anytime soon.”
He continued, “The 22-year-old is a key player and captain for the team. At present, there are no plans or discussions about a transfer, either in the winter or summer.”
“It was also reported that Liverpool has no intention of engaging in a swap deal involving Aurelien Tchouameni at this stage,” he added. Ryan Gravenberch joined Liverpool in the summer of 2023 from Bayern Munich, while Tchouameni joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2022 from Monaco.
