The atmosphere in Barcelona has shifted from euphoria to anxiety after a series of negative results achieved by the team in recent days of La Liga, leading to the loss of the top spot.

Previously, Hansi Flick had been receiving widespread praise for his great work, but now there is considerable criticism of his approach, and it seems he is struggling to find solutions to the problems the team is facing at the moment.
Despite all this, Flick still enjoys the confidence of Joan Laporta and Deco, and he maintains his position at the club. However, the situation could change if the team continues its current form and if the season ends without winning any titles.

In this case, according to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional”, the sporting management has already started to consider alternative names to take over the team’s leadership if they decide to part ways with Flick. The first of these names is Michel Sánchez, the coach of Girona, who seems close to leaving his club.

Last summer, Sánchez received several offers after the great performance he delivered with Girona, but he chose to stay at Montilivi to participate in the Champions League. Despite the team’s recent decline due to changes in Girona’s squad during the summer transfer window, what Sánchez has achieved with the team is still commendable.

Currently, Girona occupies eighth place in the league table, close to the positions that qualify for European competitions, and plays attractive attacking football in line with Barcelona’s philosophy.

The other alternative that seems very popular is Imanol Alguacil, the coach of Real Sociedad. Despite an unsuccessful start to this season, Alguacil has been able to successfully turn his team’s form around, and they are now back in seventh place in the league, reflecting his ability to handle crises and improve his team.

Despite these alternative options, Laporta and Deco still have full confidence in Flick, hoping that he can address the current situation and get the team back on the right track. But at the same time, they are not neglecting the search for reliable alternatives in anticipation of any unwanted developments.

Flick’s numbers have shifted from impressive achievements to disappointing results, with the German coach losing 25% of the games he has managed with Barcelona, a rate that places him at the bottom of the list of coaches who have taken charge of the team, behind Ronald Koeman, Xavi Hernández, and even Quique Setién.
These negative statistics represent a major challenge for Flick, who is under increasing pressure to improve the team’s performance and return it to the path of victories. He will have a lot of work to do to end this negative streak as soon as possible before things become even more complicated for him.
