After confirming injuries to two key players, Arsenal is already turning its attention to the upcoming winter transfer market to strengthen its depleted squad. As a result, Mikel Arteta is looking to sign a player from Real Madrid.

With the winter transfer window fast approaching, rumors are swirling, and Arsenal is one of the clubs keen to bolster its ranks in January. The injuries to Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling have placed considerable pressure on the English side, prompting Arteta, with the backing of the club’s management, to remain open to making signings in the coming weeks. Among the names linked with a potential move to the Premier League, one standout is a Real Madrid player that Arteta is reportedly particularly interested in.

According to information from “Defensa Central”, Arteta is closely monitoring the possibility of signing Arda Güler on loan. The Turkish talent, who can bolster the right wing and even provide options in midfield, has caught Arteta’s attention as a solution to the team’s current challenges.

However, this ambition is unlikely to materialize easily. Real Madrid has no intention of letting go of Güler, particularly in the winter transfer window. While Arsenal is actively exploring alternatives to strengthen their squad, they may face significant hurdles in acquiring the Turkish star.

In a recent statement, Arteta acknowledged the club’s readiness to act should the situation change, saying: “Yes, we are prepared if anything happens. Obviously, we did not expect Bukayo and Sterling to both be injured at the same time. We anticipated something happening in defense, but now things have changed.

The work is ongoing, and if any signings are required, we will remain open. However, the main focus right now is on maximizing the potential within the squad.”
The injuries to Saka and Sterling have made Arda Güler one of the most sought-after targets for Arsenal, particularly from Arteta. However, in reality, the Turkish player remains a distant prospect for the Premier League club, as neither Real Madrid nor Güler himself appear interested in leaving at this time.
