Many Barcelona players are suffering from a significant decline in their performances, as they have become far from their best versions. This decline has raised concerns for Hansi Flick, who is increasingly worried about the drop in performance of some players who were once considered essential in his squad.
The Catalan team is seeking to strengthen its ranks with world-class signings despite the economic crisis it is going through, in order to regain its position in Europe.
In this context, Spanish press reports stated that Barcelona is planning to sign German international Leroy Sané, the winger of Bayern Munich. The 28-year-old player’s contract with the Bavarian giant expires at the end of the current season.
According to information from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, Sané has been in discussions with Bayern Munich’s management for several months in an attempt to reach an agreement on renewing his contract.
The Spanish newspaper continued that the Bavarian club is considering parting ways with the German star if he is unwilling to accept a significant reduction in his salary.
The newspaper also mentioned that Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United are interested in signing the German player.
Sané previously confirmed in statements that he wants to join Barcelona and play alongside Lamine Yamal and Pedri, and train once again under the leadership of Hansi Flick.
The German star has participated in 19 matches with the Bavarian team in all competitions since the beginning of the current season, scoring 5 goals and providing one assist.
It is worth noting that Sané moved to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020 from Manchester City for 49 million euros.
