AC Milan are looking to strengthen their ranks in the upcoming winter transfer market, with the new coach setting clear plans to improve their defense.

Among the most prominent targets the club is looking to sign is a defender from the Spanish league who has earned a strong reputation in Europe due to his outstanding performances in the back line.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional”, Sergio Conceição has arrived in Milan with very clear ideas about how to strengthen the team in the upcoming transfer window.

He has already set his main goal: to sign Andreas Christensen, the Danish defender who currently plays for Barcelona. Conceição believes that signing Christensen would be a decisive step in solving the Rossoneri’s defensive problems, as he has placed him high on his list of priorities.
It is no coincidence that Conceição is paying special attention to Christensen. Despite missing some matches at the beginning of the season due to physical issues, Christensen is regarded as one of the most reliable defenders in Europe when at his best.

In Barcelona, Christensen’s situation is complicated. Despite having established himself as a key player in the defensive line in previous seasons, his ongoing physical problems have raised doubts among the technical staff, led by Hansi Flick.

The German coach has made it clear that he is not opposed to the player leaving if the club receives a tempting offer. With Barcelona’s coffers in need of financial relief, selling Christensen could be the solution to secure the necessary funds to register Dani Olmo, whose situation is currently the talk of the football world.

Some sources close to the Italian club indicate that Milan could submit an official offer in the coming weeks. The Italian club is willing to pay around 10 million euros to complete the deal, a figure that could be welcomed at Camp Nou, as Barcelona seeks financial solutions to remain competitive in the market.

The outcome of this deal will largely depend on negotiations between the two clubs, but it is clear that Sergio Conceição has set his sights on the Danish defender and will do everything in his power to bring him to San Siro.
