Press reports revealed the first step taken by Barcelona, headed by Joan Laporta, after the Spanish Football Federation refused to register the Catalan team’s duo.
The Spanish Federation denied Barcelona the necessary licenses for the duo, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, to continue with the first team, after La Liga also rejected the registration.
Reports confirmed that Barcelona will pursue the legal route, addressing the Spanish Supreme Sports Council and then the regular courts to request a precautionary measure to register the players next Tuesday.
The reports indicated that Barcelona is hopeful of obtaining the precautionary measure, as the licensing law at the time of its issuance had no relation to financial fair play, a loophole the Barcelona management is working to exploit.
It is worth noting that Barcelona has reverted to the 1/1 rule, but despite this, the Catalan club will still be unable to register the duo, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Media figure Javi Miguel reported that Hans Flick’s plan is to take Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, along with the rest of the Catalan team, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in preparation for facing Bilbao in the semi-finals of the Spanish Super Cup.
The media figure pointed out that the idea is not for the players to participate, as this would be impossible due to their unregistered status. However, the German coach does not want them to be away from the group to prevent the situation from affecting them more negatively.
