Barcelona is putting pressure on one of the stars of its first-team football squad to leave during the current winter transfer window, despite the player’s desire to stay.
Tomorrow, Barcelona will face Getafe in the Spanish La Liga, hoping to return to winning ways and regain the lead as soon as possible.
According to information from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, which confirmed that Barcelona’s management is applying strong pressure on Ansu Fati to leave the club on loan during this winter transfer window.
The newspaper reported that Ansu Fati, 22 years old, is still determined to stay at Barcelona and refuses to leave, even if he does not get much playing time in the upcoming period.
The newspaper also stated that Joan Laporta has told the player that it is in both his and Barcelona’s best interest for him to leave in January in order to get more playing opportunities and regain his form.
Fati has played in 8 matches so far this season, accumulating only 186 minutes. He has neither scored any goals nor provided any assists.
The Spanish player is concerned that if he leaves on loan, he may fail again, just as he did during his loan spell at Brighton.
