Real Madrid issued an official statement confirming the exclusion of one of the club’s first-team players from the Las Palmas match due to injury.
Real Madrid and Las Palmas will meet at 5:15 pm Cairo time at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, with referee Alejandro Quintero Gonzalez officiating.
Real Madrid announced in an official statement on Sunday evening that its French player, Aurélien Tchouaméni, had been injured and would miss the Las Palmas match this evening in the local league.
The club’s statement indicated that the player was removed from the squad at the last minute due to pain in his left leg, prompting Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti to call up the duo Chema and Yakubu instead.
Real Madrid will thus be without six players for today’s match against Las Palmas, namely: Luka Modrić, Eduardo Camavinga, Tchouaméni, Vinícius Júnior, Dani Carvajal, and Éder Militão.
Tchouaméni is expected to undergo thorough medical examinations on the injury site after the match to determine its exact extent and assess the potential duration of his absence from the pitch.
Cadena Cope reported that Spaniard Dani Ceballos may replace Tchouaméni in Real Madrid’s starting lineup against Las Palmas today.
Real Madrid is looking to secure three points from the Las Palmas match to top the league table after its neighbor Atlético Madrid stumbled with a loss to Leganés, and Barcelona drew with Getafe.
