Barcelona continues its faltering results in La Liga this season, as the Catalan team will fall further from the top by a full 7 points if Real Madrid succeeds in securing a victory against Las Palmas in the match that will start shortly.

Barcelona announced in an official statement on Sunday evening that its player, Dani Olmo, was injured after coming on as a substitute in the match against Getafe on Saturday evening at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium, in La Liga.
Barcelona’s statement indicated that the player is suffering from a muscle injury and fatigue in his right calf, with the club not disclosing the duration of his absence from the team, only confirming that his return depends on the speed of his recovery.

According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” Olmo will not be able to participate in Barcelona’s upcoming match against Portugal’s Benfica in the seventh round of the group stage in the UEFA Champions League, away from home.
Olmo could be available for the next match, which will be at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys against Valencia in La Liga, next Sunday. If the absence period extends beyond a week, he will have to wait until the next match against the Italian team Atalanta.

Barça will host Atalanta in the final round of the Champions League group stage on the 29th of this month.
