Many players who chose to leave Real Madrid have faced difficult experiences outside the Bernabeu, realizing that the atmosphere is far from what they were accustomed to at the royal club.
While the dream of achieving success at Real Madrid had fueled their enthusiasm, they soon found themselves in less stable environments, facing greater challenges.
Some of them began to admit that their decisions were mistakes and expressed a desire to return, as was the case with one player who revealed his wish to return to the team, seeking the opportunity to experience the wonderful atmosphere and high pressure that define the Bernabeu.
According to reports from the Spanish newspaper “AS,” Marco Asensio is on the verge of leaving Paris Saint-Germain after a season and a half since his move to Paris.
Asensio joined Paris in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer after his contract with Real Madrid expired, following his refusal to renew and seeking a new challenge outside the Bernabeu.
However, his time in Paris has been less than successful, leading Luis Enrique to request that the management part ways with the player.
The newspaper highlighted that Asensio is completely out of coach Enrique’s plans, having played just 18 minutes in the last 10 matches for Paris, and did not even warm up in the team’s most recent cup match.
The report also stated that Asensio has asked Florentino Perez for the opportunity to return to Real Madrid, but the president has firmly closed the door on any potential return.
While Asensio has yet to decide on his next destination, what is certain is that he will not continue at Paris Saint-Germain, especially after the club’s signing of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
