German coach Hans Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, excluded two players from the squad traveling to Gran Canaria to face Las Palmas this evening, Saturday, in La Liga.
Flick had 25 players available for the match, and he had to exclude two to reduce the list to just 23 players. He chose Ansu Fati and Andreas Christensen.
The duo had actually trained with their teammates in group sessions, but the Danish defender did not receive medical clearance to participate in matches again.
Flick continues to overlook Ansu Fati, who is living a bitter reality, as he was on the team’s list for the last match against Rayo Vallecano before being excluded by the coach for the sixth time in 2025.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “El Nacional”, German coach Hansi Flick does not believe Fati can add value to Barcelona and will continue to exclude him from upcoming matches to force him to leave. Christensen continues to train for the second consecutive day but needs to regain his match fitness before receiving medical clearance to participate again.
