According to information from the Catalan newspaper “Sport”, which confirmed that Polish star Robert Lewandowski will stay at Barcelona for an additional season after reaching 55% of the matches this season, activating the automatic renewal clause in his contract. This came after his participation in the first half of his team’s match against Las Palmas, confirming his continued presence at the Catalan club until 2026.
Sources close to the Catalan club say that the Barcelona trio of Pedri, Jamal, and Raphinha do not welcome this decision and believe that the Polish star no longer has anything new to offer Barcelona.
The Catalan trio is upset about Lewandowski’s continuation as the team’s striker next season and believes that Barcelona deserves a young striker capable of making a difference with his speed and vitality, as well as helping to put pressure on the opponent’s defense, something Lewandowski lacks due to his advanced age.
