Barcelona have withdrawn from the race to sign one of the most distinguished deals in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Barcelona are at the top of the Spanish league table with 54 points, while their traditional rivals Real Madrid are in second place with the same number of points, behind on goal difference.
According to press reports, Bayern Munich have decided to withdraw their offer to renew the contract of their player Joshua Kimmich, due to the player’s delay in deciding his future with the team.

Journalist Luis Miguel Sanz indicated, via the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, that Barcelona have not changed their position and will not enter the race to sign the German star.
Several press reports indicate that Kimmich’s name is linked to a move to Real Madrid, which needs to strengthen its midfield after the retirement of German Toni Kroos.

Sanz indicated that the club’s management, in consultation with coach Hansi Flick, believes that the midfield is well-covered, which makes the priority in the transfer market focused on strengthening other positions, especially given the limited budget the club is working with.
The reliable journalist added that Flick’s first desire since arriving at Barcelona was to sign Kimmich, but he knows the complicated financial situation that Barcelona is going through, so Laporta agreed to withdraw from the deal.
