According to information from the Spanish newspaper ‘‘El Nacional‘‘, Barcelona appears to have already begun seriously considering signing Nuno Mendes, the Paris Saint-Germain left-back. Joan Laporta and Deco see him as a great option to strengthen this position, which has been plagued by problems this season due to Alejandro Balde’s inconsistent performances and recurring injuries. These issues have made Nuno Mendes a top priority for Barcelona in this position.

One idea that has been suggested is to include Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen as part of the deal. Christensen, who has suffered two injuries that have kept him out of action this season, is no longer part of coach Hansi Flick’s plans, and Barcelona is expected to seek to sell him before he leaves for free in 2026. For this reason, the club is considering offering him to Paris Saint-Germain in a swap deal that includes Nuno Mendes.
Barcelona’s plan is to make an offer of €15 million plus Christensen for Nuno Mendes. This would be an enticing proposition for Paris Saint-Germain, who could see Christensen as a useful player to strengthen their defense.
