Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that sources close to Colombian winger Luis Díaz, Liverpool’s forward, said the player is eagerly awaiting a move to Barcelona.
Barcelona has identified the 28-year-old as one of the options that the club’s sporting directors, headed by Portuguese manager Deco, are considering to revamp the team’s attack next season. Díaz was previously on the club’s radar, but the financial situation prevented him from joining Camp Nou.
The newspaper indicated that Díaz is waiting for Barcelona to make an approach to acquire his services in order to determine his position in the club’s plans and whether he will play for the club next season.
The Colombian international dreams of joining Barcelona and appears willing to wait as long as possible to achieve his dream. However, he does not want to leave his future uncertain and is eager to see a clear signal from the Catalan club.
Luis Díaz has two seasons remaining on his contract with Liverpool, but if Barcelona opens the door, the player will not hesitate to head to Catalonia to play for the team he has supported since childhood.
