Carlo Ancelotti’s days at Real Madrid are nearing their end, leading many to believe that the Italian coach will not be leading the team in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
In a recent statement, Ancelotti said: “I’ve said it before, when my time here ends, I will only do one thing: thank the club. Whether my contract ends or not, that’s not my concern. I haven’t thought for a moment that I wouldn’t be the coach of Real Madrid.”
These remarks reflect the Italian coach’s readiness to face whatever comes, fully aware of the challenges he faces this season. He also believes that Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez need to prepare for changes on the club’s bench.
In this context, Ancelotti did not hesitate to express his gratitude towards the players, saying: “All I want to do is thank all these players. I’ve spent great times with them and still enjoy it. They gave me the opportunity to win the Champions League twice in four years.”
However, not all players may share this sentiment, as some have not received the playing time they expected at Real Madrid.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper “Defensa Central,” should Ancelotti leave, there are three players in particular whose chances of getting more playing time with the team might increase. These players are looking for a more prominent role compared to what they’ve contributed this season, which has been far less than expected, both by the players themselves and the club’s management.
Among these players, Endrick, Arda Güler, and Brahim Díaz are hoping for greater opportunities with the first team, especially with the arrival of Xabi Alonso, which enhances their chances.
This situation explains the feelings of some players who believe there needs to be a change in Real Madrid’s bench. Nevertheless, the players hold a deep respect for Ancelotti, the Madrid legend, whose legacy will be difficult to replace in the future. With his departure, the stadium where he achieved numerous successes will also see the exit of a figure rarely matched in the club’s history.
Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez have confirmed that they never wanted what is currently happening, but they understand that the Royal Club remains above any personal or technical considerations.
