The first leg between Barcelona and Inter Milan ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, featuring intense competition and open attacking play from both sides. The outcome remains undecided until the return leg, which will be held next Tuesday at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy, amid high public anticipation to determine who will secure a place in the Champions League final.
Recent press reports have revealed that Barcelona defender Jules Koundé will miss both the upcoming second-leg match against Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final, as well as the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid in La Liga.
Koundé suffered a hamstring injury during the first leg against Inter Milan, which ended in a 3-3 draw at Barcelona’s Montjuïc Stadium. According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, the injury occurred in the 42nd minute of the match, forcing the coaching staff to substitute him, with defender Eric García coming on in his place.
As a result of this injury, Koundé will miss the upcoming La Liga match against Real Valladolid, scheduled for next Saturday, in addition to the decisive fixtures against Inter Milan in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final and El Clásico against Real Madrid on May 11. This period is critical for Barcelona in its pursuit of both Champions League and La Liga success, increasing the pressure on the team in the absence of its key French defender.
