As preparations for the 2025-26 season begin, it appears that Real Madrid is already looking ahead to the future, even though Carlo Ancelotti and his players are striving to finish the current season in the best possible way.
Following the painful exit from the Copa del Rey, everyone within the club, still reeling emotionally from the loss, understands that Florentino Pérez and José Ángel Sánchez are already working on shaping the team’s squad for next season.
As is typical at this stage, rumors and speculation have begun to mount and are expected to intensify in the coming weeks.
The latest to speak about the future of Brazilian winger Rodrygo Goes was journalist Josep Pedrerol, who was clear in his assessment of the player’s situation. Rodrygo has disappointed a large portion of Real Madrid fans this season, making his continued presence at the club seem increasingly unlikely.
The host of El Chiringuito de Jugones stated:
“If an offer comes in for Rodrygo, he won’t stay at Real Madrid. He’ll be sold.”
Pedrerol didn’t stop there. He went further, outlining the reasons that could accelerate the player’s departure from Los Blancos.
He added:
“Vinícius will stay, and so will Mbappé. Rodrygo’s situation is clear. He has already hinted at his desire to leave this summer if he doesn’t get enough playing time. He has played a lot, but hasn’t delivered the expected level. He hasn’t shown that he’s the kind of player Real Madrid needs. If an offer comes in, it will be considered, and he won’t be kept against his will.”
If this information proves accurate, the former Santos player could soon bid farewell to Real Madrid a club with which he has won numerous titles and played a role in several key moments. However, he has struggled to maintain the consistency expected by both fans and management, despite the ongoing support he has received from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
