Real Madrid suffered a heavy 4-3 defeat after leading by two goals in the match at Montjuïc Stadium during the 35th round of La Liga.

Following this setback, press reports have revealed that Real Madrid is considering signing a new left-back in the upcoming summer transfer window, amid growing speculation surrounding the future of French defender Ferland Mendy.

This comes at a time when it was officially announced that Carlo Ancelotti will take over as the coach of the Brazilian national team starting in June. As a result, there is increasing anticipation that Xabi Alonso will be appointed as the new manager of Real Madrid’s first team.

According to Calciomercato, Los Blancos have already taken steps to reorganize their defensive lineup, having reached an agreement with Trent Alexander-Arnold to join the team on a free transfer.

Additionally, Theo Hernández, the 27-year-old star from Milan, has resurfaced as a prime candidate to strengthen the left flank. Hernández previously played for Los Blancos before transferring to Milan in the summer of 2019 for €22.8 million.

Despite continuing to shine with the Rossoneri, contract renewal negotiations, with his deal expiring in June 2026, have made little progress.
