Real Madrid is gearing up for a highly active summer transfer market, with several significant moves planned ahead of the new season. Among the most prominent names being discussed is Rodrygo, whose departure from the club is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility—especially as the club has shown a willingness to listen to offers.

According to the Spanish outlet Defensa Central, if Rodrygo were to leave, one of the most notable alternatives on the radar is French talent Désiré Doué.

Reports from Foot Mercato and other English media sources in recent hours have confirmed Real Madrid’s serious interest in the 19-year-old. Doué has emerged as one of Europe’s breakout stars this season, firmly establishing himself as a rising talent at Paris Saint-Germain and affirming his bright future in elite football.

Given the growing likelihood of Rodrygo’s exit, Real Madrid is not ruling out a push to sign Doué. However, French media report that PSG is not open to any negotiations for the player. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly unwilling to part with Doué—especially this summer—which makes any potential deal extremely difficult, despite Madrid’s financial clout.

Doué’s future remains uncertain for now. His contract with PSG runs until June 30, 2029, and his market value is currently estimated at around €60 million, according to Transfermarkt—a figure expected to rise further due to his outstanding performances.

This season, Doué has racked up 13 goals and 12 assists—eye-catching numbers that have put him firmly on Real Madrid’s radar. The club sees him as one of the most promising young talents in European football. However, acquiring him will be a major challenge, given PSG’s firm stance and the length of the player’s current deal.

According to French outlet le10sport, Doué, who wears the number 14 shirt, joined PSG last summer, and the club has no intention of letting him go in the near future. Furthermore, the strained relationship between Real Madrid and PSG—particularly following the Kylian Mbappé saga—makes any negotiation with Al-Khelaifi’s board even more difficult.

For now, Real Madrid may be forced to explore other alternatives to compensate for a potential Rodrygo departure. While Doué remains a top target, securing his signature will be far from easy. The coming days are expected to bring more clarity.
