Neither Wirtz nor Pedri… This is the midfielder Kroos asked the Real Madrid management to sign!

Toni Kroos is no longer a Real Madrid player, but he remains a strong presence in the team’s landscape, especially after a season marked by a clear decline in performance and a lack of tangible impact. The German star, who continues to closely follow the club’s news, acknowledges that the team has not performed at its best this season. However, he remains confident in Real Madrid’s ability to bounce back and compete for all titles in the 2025-26 season.

Recently, Kroos expressed his great admiration for Barcelona star Pedri, who has seen remarkable improvement in his performance this season. According to information from the Spanish newspaper Defensa Central, although Kroos might welcome the idea of Pedri moving to Real Madrid, he recognizes that such a scenario is virtually impossible. With Pedri’s situation complicated and the Florian Wirtz deal still uncertain, another player has caught Kroos’ attention this season: AC Milan midfielder Tijani Reynders, who shone against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu.

In informal discussions with club president Florentino Pérez, Kroos mentioned the Dutch player, who is also being closely monitored by Real Madrid’s chief scout, Juni Calafat, and is attracting increasing interest from the club’s management. Although the deal appears unlikely to be easy, given the financial demands the Italian club may impose, the relationship between Real Madrid and Milan is positive at the management level. Priorities within Valdebebas are focused on strengthening other positions in the squad, given the team’s unconvincing performances this season and the small number of players deemed safe. Therefore, coach Xabi Alonso will need to clearly define the team’s priorities to ensure a strong, competitive squad for next season.
