A Barcelona star missed the La Liga title celebration after receiving harsh news from Deco before the end of the season.

Barcelona’s La Liga title celebrations this season were not filled with joy and happiness for everyone. Unlike many of their teammates, some players were far from thrilled. Many of them are aware that their future at the club is uncertain, and that the season has been both stressful and difficult, particularly due to limited playing time and opportunities under coach Hansi Flick.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Ansu Fati stands out as the most prominent example. He was determined to regain his confidence and prove that he could shine once again. Although Joan Laporta and Deco had previously made it clear they were looking for a way out for him, Hansi remained supportive, convinced that he could help the player rediscover his best form, just as he had done with Raphinha Díaz, Jules Koundé, Pedri González, Ferran Torres, Iñigo Martínez, and Frenkie de Jong.

However, unlike those players, the number 10 continued to disappoint, hampered by injuries and inconsistent performances. He has failed to deliver, and it has become increasingly evident that his prime is behind him. Ongoing physical issues have only reinforced the belief, both his own and the club’s, that leaving Camp Nou is the best course of action, especially for someone who was once considered a future icon.

Fati can no longer justify his high salary, and the club’s sporting management has informed him that he must prepare to move on. Unlike last season, there are no plans to give him another chance, and any offer, regardless of its value, will be considered. While the club had initially hoped to generate €30 million from his sale, accepting a significantly lower figure is now on the table.

A loan deal is also being considered once again, with interest reportedly coming from several La Liga clubs.

Ansu’s absence from the title celebrations clearly signals that he understands his days at Barcelona are numbered. He is currently going through one of the most difficult periods of his career, grappling with intense psychological pressure, a burden that has led him to step away from the spotlight.
