Real Madrid continues its intensive summer transfer activity as it looks to strengthen the squad ahead of the Club World Cup.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, the club’s management—working closely with coach Xabi Alonso—has identified the signing of a midfielder capable of dictating the tempo and creating chances from deep as a top priority for the summer transfer window.
German Stuttgart star Angelo Stiller has emerged as one of the leading candidates for this role, especially with the direct endorsement of retired legend Toni Kroos.
The newspaper confirmed that negotiations with Stiller are completely unrelated to the deal to bring Nico Paz back to Real Madrid from the Italian side Como.
Marca further explained that the club’s management is focused on acquiring high-quality players without the burden of superstar status, aiming to improve collective performance and establish a distinct playing identity for the team.
During Stuttgart’s German Cup celebrations, some of Stiller’s teammates playfully teased him about his football future and the potential move to Real Madrid.
