With the start of the summer transfer window, the two Spanish football giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are entering a frantic race to bolster their squads with the strongest signings that will enhance their chances of competing in all competitions next season. The rivalry between the two teams is no longer limited to the pitch; it has extended to the transfer market, where fierce competition is escalating to sign the most prominent talents and stars. In this intense struggle, each club seeks to assert its dominance and regain its position as the leader of European football, amid smart moves and well-thought-out strategies based on multiple factors, aiming to build a strong team capable of dominating and winning.
In light of this, the newspaper AS reported that Real Madrid’s management is planning to sign Espanyol goalkeeper Juan Garcia during the summer transfer window. Juan Garcia has drawn significant attention this season after his brilliance with Espanyol, prompting Barcelona to consider signing him. Spanish newspapers have indicated that Barcelona is the most interested party in signing Juan Garcia, and some say the club has already made the decision, but the goalkeeper’s recent statements confirm that he has not yet made a final decision.
The newspaper added that Real Madrid’s involvement in the deal could change the equation, especially since Real Madrid is looking for a goalkeeper to succeed Belgian Thibaut Courtois after Ukrainian Andriy Lunin failed to do so.
The newspaper explained that Real Madrid has contacted those close to Juan Garcia and informed them of its interest.
AS added that the Spanish goalkeeper’s patience in making his decision, along with the possibility of Lunin leaving Real Madrid, could indicate that the player is considering a move to Los Blancos.
