Barcelona is making clear strides toward strengthening its squad during the summer transfer window, as it seeks to regain its glory both domestically and in Europe, with the Champions League title at the top of its long-awaited goals. With the club’s management focused on building a comprehensive project under new coach Hansi Flick, it is evident that the Blaugrana will leave nothing to chance this summer.

According to the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Barcelona has shown strong interest in young Catalan goalkeeper Juan García, following his impressive performances with Espanyol this season. Sporting director Deco had already contacted the player, but negotiations stalled due to García’s desire for a guaranteed starting position, which was not initially promised.

However, the situation changed dramatically after Hansi Flick’s intervention. The German coach personally contacted García and gave him a clear assurance: “When you arrive at Barcelona, you will be the undisputed starter in the lineup.”

Flick’s involvement proved crucial in shifting the goalkeeper’s stance, with a final agreement now believed to be imminent amid widespread public anticipation. The deal could mark a significant turning point in Barcelona’s new project—especially in the goalkeeping department, which has posed a major challenge in recent seasons.
