Real Madrid’s new coach, Spanish Xabi Alonso, is outlining the summer transfer market overhaul he intends to carry out, according to the German newspaper Bild.
Alonso aims to make radical changes to Real Madrid’s roster to achieve the best possible combination for next season, aligning with his style of play. His goal is to return Los Blancos to the top of the table, both domestically and in Europe.

Real Madrid is set to offload several defenders this summer, including Ferland Mendy and Fran García, who have been given permission to leave. The club is also expected to soon announce the signing of Benfica left-back Álvaro Carreras.

Austrian David Alaba is also out of Alonso’s plans. The 32-year-old could leave Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, despite his contract running until June 2026.

French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is also considered a potential departure, with an expected transfer fee of around €80 million. Additionally, a €100 million sale of Rodrygo Goes is anticipated, given his dissatisfaction with his role in the team.
