Spanish press reports have revealed the position of Brazilian star Rodrygo, Real Madrid’s winger, regarding his continued stay with the team amid recent doubts about his future.
Rodrygo’s last appearance was on May 26 in the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, where he started but was substituted at halftime. Since then, he has not featured in any official matches.
Although he has since appeared in training sessions, no clear details about any injury have been disclosed. The club has not made any official announcements, and the Brazilian Football Federation confirmed that the player’s absence was intended to restore his physical and mental fitness, without indicating any actual injury.
According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Rodrygo Goes has expressed a clear desire to continue with Los Merengues, despite the recent uncertainty surrounding his future.
While he previously admitted he was not mentally ready to participate in the crucial El Clásico, his latest statements reflect a strong determination to overcome this phase and return to his usual level.
Given his decline in performance since February, the club’s management recognizes his potential but is waiting for clear signs of his physical and mental readiness, especially ahead of the Club World Cup, which will serve as a critical test for his recovery.
Despite all the controversy, Real Madrid has not received any official offers for Rodrygo. The player now has 45 days to prove that he remains a central part of the club’s project.
