Francesco Totti urges Real Madrid and Pérez to bring back the former team star next season!

After a season in which Real Madrid failed to win any domestic or continental titles, it became clear that the club was in dire need of a reshuffle. The inability to compete for silverware prompted club president Florentino Pérez to make the decisive decision to end the Carlo Ancelotti era and thank him for his contributions, despite the recent setbacks.

In this context, Italian football legend Francesco Totti, the iconic Roma figure, praised young Argentine star Nico Paz, a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy.
Paz joined his current club, Como, in August 2024, though Real Madrid retains a buyback clause.

Totti, in remarks reported by Football Espana, said:
“Considering his young age, I believe Real Madrid made the right decision by allowing Paz to gain experience at Como.”

He added, “This opportunity will help him develop, especially as he’s playing in Serie A, and that experience is anything but trivial.”

The Calcio icon continued:
“I believe Paz will return to Madrid and become one of the best players in the world.”

The report indicated that Real Madrid is expected to consider activating the buyback clause this summer. However, the player himself is reportedly inclined to remain at Como for another season.

Allowing Paz to stay at Como would likely be the most favorable scenario for Real Madrid, as it would ensure regular playing time before his eventual return.
Back in Madrid, Paz would face stiff competition from the likes of Jude Bellingham and Brahim Díaz, which could limit his minutes. A further season at Como would provide the continuity and experience he needs to continue his development.
