Hansi Flick, Barcelona’s new coach, realizes that the club must take decisive steps in the transfer market to achieve financial balance, increase revenue, and reduce the payroll. This is essential to implementing his ambitious plan to strengthen the team, which he is already working on.

Flick did not hesitate to identify a group of names that are not part of his future project, urging president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco to begin searching for clubs interested in signing these players as soon as possible.

In this context, young star Pablo Torre, one of the most prominent graduates of the La Masia academy, issued an angry statement expressing his dissatisfaction with Flick’s treatment of him during the past season.

Torre said, in statements reported by Football España:

“I think I could have played more minutes. There was a lot of competition, and it was difficult to participate, but Flick wasn’t fair to me, and I told him so during my conversation with him.”

He added, “I wasn’t bad when I was playing. There are things the coach chooses, and it’s true that there were no injuries, so it was difficult for him to make those choices.”

He continued, “I respect the coach’s decisions, but many of them I didn’t understand.”

Torre concluded, “I think I performed very well and deserved a bigger opportunity. I feel I’ve become a better player, and training with top-level players has helped me develop and grow.”

It’s worth noting that Pablo Torre has made 27 appearances for Barcelona’s first team, scoring five goals and assisting four others, in a season that saw fierce competition for places.
