After a season that fell short of fans’ expectations, Real Madrid has begun early preparations to rebuild the squad and reinforce its ranks with players capable of making a significant impact in the upcoming phase.

The club’s sporting management, led by Florentino Pérez, is fully aware that supporters are expecting a strong and decisive response in the transfer market—one that aligns with the club’s ambitions and illustrious history, especially in the wake of recent domestic and European setbacks.

In this context, Real Madrid is actively seeking to strengthen its attacking line ahead of the 2025–26 season by targeting the third-highest scorer in La Liga from last season.

Following the official announcement of Franco Mastantuono’s signing—an Argentine winger from River Plate—during the current summer transfer window, the club is now in search of an additional striker.

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Real Madrid has submitted an offer to Osasuna for their striker Ante Budimir. The Croatian forward has a release clause of €8 million in his current contract, and Los Blancos have reportedly offered him an annual salary of €3 million.

The 33-year-old impressed last season, finishing third in the La Liga scoring charts with 21 goals. He competed closely with Real Madrid’s own Kylian Mbappé and Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski. While Mbappé led the standings with 31 goals, Lewandowski followed with 27—just six ahead of Budimir—making the Osasuna striker one of the standout performers and a serious rival to the league’s biggest names.
