Kylian Mbappé was among the players disappointed by Xabi Alonso’s dismissal, noting that the team’s results and overall atmosphere fell far short of expectations. However, the French striker maintained his appreciation for his relationship with the Basque coach, praising the trust Alonso placed in him from day one.
Mbappé delivered his best performances under Alonso, particularly after the initial adaptation period in La Liga, during which he faced more criticism than expected. According to Le Parisien, the Frenchman believes Florentino Pérez did not provide the former coach with sufficient support and patience, leaving him doubtful about the team’s future under Álvaro Arbeloa.

Mbappé believes Zidane’s experience and leadership would help the club return to the right path, even if his tenure is temporary, lasting only until the end of the current season on June 30.
