A Saudi offer shakes Barcelona… Raphinha is close to leaving and the management moves to sign a European gem.

Spanish media reports have revealed new developments within Barcelona regarding the future of Brazilian winger Rafinha, as the current season draws to a close. Financial pressures are forcing the club’s management to reassess its plans ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to sources within the club, Barcelona is now open to the idea of letting Rafinha go, especially after the player himself confirmed receiving lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian clubs. He indicated that he would not rule out a new experience outside Europe if a suitable offer materializes.

Rafinha joined Barcelona in the summer of 2012 from Leeds United and has delivered inconsistent performances. However, his future has become a subject of discussion within the management due to the need to achieve strict financial balance.

Barcelona identifies a replacement… Juventus star enters the picture

According to the Spanish newspaper Fichajes, Barcelona’s management has placed Kenan Yıldız, the Juventus and Turkish national team winger, at the top of their list of candidates to replace Rafinha should he leave.

Several Saudi clubs are reportedly prepared to offer up to €100 million for Rafinha, a sum that would significantly alleviate Barcelona’s financial woes and provide greater flexibility for the club to make significant signings while reducing their wage bill.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s management recognizes that acquiring Kenan Yıldız will be no easy task, especially since Juventus has no intention of parting with one of the cornerstones of their future project. Estimates suggest the deal could reach €90 million.

A complex deal and crucial timing

Kenan Yıldız is under a long-term contract with Juventus, extending until June 30, 2029, making negotiations complex and requiring swift and decisive action from Barcelona.

The Catalan club believes that selling Rafinha to the Saudi league could give them leverage to enter serious negotiations with Juventus, provided the deal is finalized early before competition from other clubs intensifies.

Yıldız is an ideal example of the standards that Barcelona’s management is looking for, as he is a young, talented player with potential for development and the ability to adapt to the Spanish league. Moreover, the club has been following him since his time with Bayern Munich, which reinforces the technical conviction in his capabilities.
