Concerns arise over Barcelona star’s focus… decisive developments regarding his future away from Camp Nou

Robert Lewandowski is experiencing a challenging season with Barcelona, having seen his attacking impact noticeably decline compared to last season, when he finished with a high goal tally and was a key player in the lineup.

Despite his age (37) and relatively diminished physical condition, his rapid drop in form has raised questions within the club, especially since he was until recently an indispensable pillar of the attack.

Flick Reduces His Role in the Lineup

Coach Hans-Dieter Flick informed Lewandowski of his reduced role this season, preferring to rely on other options such as Ferran Torres, and on previous occasions giving preference to Marc Casado and Dani Olmo. This reflects a clear shift in attacking priorities.

Even with some absences, the Polish striker is no longer the first choice as he was in previous seasons.

Lackluster Performance and Management Concerns

Lewandowski’s recent appearances have done little to change the situation, as he seems far from his usual form. Internal assessments indicate a lack of the expected technical impact from him in crucial matches.

According to press reports, sporting director Deco believes that the player’s preoccupation with his future may be one reason for his lack of focus, especially since his contract expires on June 30th and there are no plans to renew it yet.

Six Offers on the Table

The newspaper Sport revealed that Lewandowski has received six transfer offers, mostly from MLS clubs, along with proposals from European clubs and options in the Saudi league.

Barcelona’s management has already begun studying attacking alternatives in preparation for next season, given the possibility of the veteran striker leaving once his contract ends.

The current situation reflects a transitional phase in the team’s attacking line, with significant anticipation surrounding the player’s final decision regarding his next destination.
