A former Barcelona star regrets leaving and asks to return, but the club shocks him with a refusal!

Barcelona continues to handle the issue of young talent with great sensitivity, given the recurring departures of players from its La Masia academy to major European clubs, only to see their professional careers take different paths.

The most recent example involves young striker Marc Guillou, who left Barcelona early after receiving lucrative offers, despite initially being given opportunities with the first team under former coach Xavi Hernandez. He was considered a potential future successor to Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

Guillou decided to move to Chelsea after the club activated his release clause, a transfer the Catalan club considered an early loss, especially after he scored an early goal for the first team, raising high hopes for him.

However, his experience in the English Premier League did not go as expected. He struggled to secure regular playing time and failed to establish himself in the starting lineup despite changes in management.

With the transfer window approaching, Marc Guillou has expressed a clear desire to return to Barcelona, hoping to relaunch his career in an environment he knows well.

Despite this, reports indicate that Barcelona’s management is not currently considering re-signing him, as they still believe that the manner of his previous departure affects their stance, in addition to the club’s plans to sign a new striker in the upcoming period.

Therefore, the player’s future remains open, between seeking a new opportunity in Europe or waiting for a possible change in his former club’s position in the coming period.
