“‘He won’t come back even for free!’… Laporta permanently shuts Barcelona’s doors on a world-class star due to ‘betrayal’”

Barcelona have begun preparations for the new season after officially securing the La Liga title, with the Catalan club now focusing on strengthening their attacking line to compete for all titles next season.

The Barcelona board, led by Joan Laporta and Deco, is searching for a new striker capable of compensating for the expected decline in attack following the end of Robert Lewandowski’s era. Several strong names have been discussed within the club’s offices, most notably Julián Álvarez and João Pedro.

However, the name that has generated the most discussion within Barcelona in recent hours is that of Frenchman Ousmane Dembélé, following increased speculation about his potential return to Camp Nou in the future.

According to reports close to the club, Dembélé still enjoys strong relationships with a number of Barcelona players, most notably Xavi. Some of the team’s stars believe the French player could adapt quickly should he return to the Catalan club.

Many within the club also believe that Dembélé still possesses exceptional attacking abilities that make him one of the most dangerous wingers in Europe, especially after regaining his form with Paris Saint-Germain and his outstanding performances this season.

Despite this, Barcelona’s management stance appears entirely different. Reports indicate that Joan Laporta is not considering bringing the player back at all, due to the manner of his departure from the club, coupled with years of recurring injuries and crises that plagued his time at Camp Nou.

The management believes that reopening the Dembélé file could revive past problems the club is keen to avoid, especially given the player’s long-term contract with Paris Saint-Germain, which runs until 2028, making any potential transfer financially complicated.

While some players welcome the idea of his return, the management’s position remains firm, with Laporta insisting on closing the file permanently and focusing on other targets that align with Barcelona’s new project
